From Bad To Worse
 

None of us show up at recovery on a winning streak. Things have gone from bad to worse for all of us, but for the life of us none of us can see where we all got off track or how we ended up here looking at being in recovery. The only thing that we all can agree upon is there must be something terribly wrong with all of us, and unfortunately for all of us this is true, but none of us knows what this is. We all think that we may, and we all have our own ideas about what this might be, but none of us are actually able to see what this is. This is where we all begin, and there is no other place that we can begin because of what has happened to all of us. Recovery is the only place that we can begin to see what's wrong for all of us, and even after we do it will still take some time before any of us can begin to accept this about ourselves once we see this. We can learn from being in recovery how to do what it takes so that we can do this, and it's always been worth it to any one who has put forth this effort so we can see where all of us became derailed from that beautiful life that we all deserve that none of us were getting. Recovery will allow all of us to be able to give this to ourselves and we will all want to, and from now on things will always be going from good to better for all of us by us being in recovery, and that's something we all can be sure of and count on.
