I is for Isolation. When we isolate, we are acting out in our disease. We not only hide from others and our self, we hide from God too.

If we isolate ourselves from people who are using and stop going to people, places and things, that are associated with our addiction.

Isolation is a form of abuse. When I am alone with me, I have no one to disagree with me or encourage me. It leaves the door wide open for my addiction to move in.

I is for Insecurities. Are you insecure within yourself. Do you feel like you don't have a leg to stand on? Are you looking into the future instead of living in today. Plan but don't plan the outcome. Your God just might have other plans for you.

Feeling insecure - that is what hugs are for!

I is for Idol. The Bible says that we are not to put an idol between our God and ourselves. I found that I didn`t need other things, I had a direct line. My angel, animal, native, nature, Runes and crystal cards, helped me to get focused on my stuff not that of others. Instead of going outside of myself for that fix or that god, that will make me happy instead of going within to connect to my Inner Self.

I is for Instant. The program is not a quick fix. You can't expect an instant cure so you can go back out and use again.

Hopefully you will read the literature and instantly identify. Don't compare, identify.

When you take an alcoholic, add alcohol, you get instant a$$hole.

I is for Intuitive. Listen to your intuitive side, I found it was my God leading me in the way He would have me go, especially if I had already asked Him into my day. For men, it is often called their 'gut feelings' and if ignored, according to my sponsor, if I doubt myself, I am doubting my God.

If you don't know what to do, go with your intuition. If it isn't the right thing, then pray and ask again. It may lead you to enlightenment and growth, no matter where it takes you, God is there. Either to guide me back or endorse me, and/or lead me forward or tell me to take a detour to get to where I need to be.
