October 16: You can look back and reflect and regret the things you have done until you are exhausted. It will change nothing. You were not perfect then, and you will not be perfect today. But, you can put the past behind you, and set your heart to be the best version possible of yourself today. Seek Me for guidance and direction, says the Lord. Philippians 3:12-14 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

October 17: See that you do not become weary of doing good even when you feel used and unrewarded. Set your heart to know that you do not need accolades for doing what you have been given to do. Just give it your all, and know that you will reap whatever you sow. Galatians 6:7-8 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

October 18: Evaluate where you are physically, mentally, and emotionally so that you can make the changes that are necessary to your well-being. There are places of procrastination that will impede your progress both spiritually and naturally. Take yourself by the scruff of your neck and the seat of your pants and take the next step in doing what needs to be done. The result will be an astounding sense of freedom. Proverbs 13:4 The soul of a lazy man desires, and has nothing; But the soul of the diligent shall be made rich.

October 19: Whenever you get discombobulated do not panic. Quiet your soul, and come into My presence, says the Lord. Being alarmed will not help, but will only make things worse. Allow these days to be a time of quiet contemplation and discernment. Psalm 62:1-2 Truly my soul silently waits for God; from Him comes my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.

October 20 Before the new season begins in earnest, it would be good for you to evaluate and make necessary changes to that which is not working effectively. The corrections will tend to be small adjustments rather than large, sweeping revisions. Be sensitive to the leading of My Spirit to show you exactly what requires your attention at this time, says the Lord. Proverbs 10:17 He who keeps instruction is in the way of life, but he who refuses correction goes astray.

October 21: Set your mind on things above instead of worrying about what is ahead. You do not know what tomorrow or next week or next year will bring. Even your best guess is conjecture. Stay current, and the day will unfold as it will. Take it as it comes with a sense of faith and clarity, says the Lord. Matthew 6:33-34 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

October 22: You are entering a phase of simplicity, if you will accept it. There are things that you can eliminate from the list of demands on your time and energy that will result in clarity of purpose and strength of resolve to eliminate that which is unnecessary. This is a time to simplify and fortify. 2 Corinthians 1:12 For our boasting is this: the testimony of our conscience that we conducted ourselves in the world in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom but by the grace of God, and more abundantly toward you.

October 23: Leave the past in the past. It does no good to recount your sins. You have repented, and the blood of Christ has covered you. You have been washed clean by His blood. Be done with self-loathing. Take your rightful place as a precious child of God, and accept His forgiveness. Psalm 32:1-2 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.

October 24: When you endure a difficult time, you need to reset by reminding yourself of where you are, who you are, and what is important to you. Reestablish your relationship to Me, says the Lord, for I will set you on the solid rock of faith and endurance. Your strength in life depends on your spiritual connection. Be strong. Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

October 25: Being off-balance mentally and emotionally is often the result of having your routine interrupted or having to deal with some kind of trauma. Go back to that which is familiar and reset. Come into My presence, for I am the same yesterday, today, and forever, says the Lord. Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

October 26: Stand firm on what you know to be true in this season of conjecture. Keep your focus on what is right and good, and make the best of the time you have today. Be kind and maintain a generous heart towards your fellow human beings, says the Lord, and you will be rewarded. Proverbs 11:25 The generous soul will be made rich, and he who waters will also be watered himself.

October 27: Position yourself for a new beginning that will follow the changes over the last months that have brought you to a place of order and in alignment with My plans and purposes. Yield at this time to the moving of My Spirit as I bring you out of a spiritual desert. And, trust Me with your life, purpose, and destiny, says the Lord. You are embarking on a new day!Psalm 118:24 This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

October 28: This is a good time to take inventory of where you are in life, what you believe, what is important to your ability to thrive, and what your goals are. Only then can you adjust your daily life to fit your needs and desires. And, do not forget to factor in your relationship to Me, says the Lord. Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

October 29: In a dream I was preparing for a wedding. It was never clear who was getting married, but the preparations were not in a building, but rather in a beautiful mountain meadow with a stream of water running through it and beautiful wild flowers. People from all over the countryside were beginning to gather in the excitement of preparation. I was trying to come up with an estimate of the amount of food that would be necessary for the event. Revelation 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.

October 30: Check yourself and see if I am still your first love, says the Lord. Do you continue to have a zeal to live your life serving Me, or have you made prayer another chore? It is time to stir yourself up and renew your fervor to have real relationship with Me instead of your service being just a habit. Hebrews 10:22-23 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
