Default Your Word

Taken from Simple Book of Prayers
YOUR WORD

O Lord, I am deeply grateful for Your wonderful acts, for Your abundant promises, and for the gift of my relationship with You through the merits of Christ.

Shout for joy, O heavens! Rejoice, O earth!
Break out into singing, O mountains!
For the Lord has comforted His people
And will have compassion on His afflicted. (Isaiah 49:13)

I will greatly rejoice in the Lord;
My soul will be joyful in my God.
For He has clothed me with garments of salvation
And arrayed me in a robe of righteousness,
As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments,
And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. (Isaiah 61:10)

Take a moment to express your gratitude for the many blessings that you have received from the Lord.
MY PRAYER

I will be of the same mind with others; I will not be haughty in mind or wise in my own estimation, but I will associate with the humble. (Romans 12:16)

From now on I will regard no one only according to the flesh. (2 Corinthians 5:16)

Lord, I thank You for Your sovereign majesty and for Your willingness to forgive and restore. I thank You for choosing me for obedience to Jesus Christ, and I ask that I would see people as You see them.
