Being On The Right Road
We're in for a long period of reconstruction. A whole life based on our illness does not reverse itself all at once. I was told it's like the peeling of an onion, as we go through each layer we shed some tears until we get to the core. I found that after all the work I still had that same basic core that I started out with years before the illness took hold, however it had a new meaning to me now, one I'll be less likely to discount as I did before. All of us come with this, and it is from this that we get The Good Life. As we trudge the long road of recovery we too can find it, and be at home again.
