Default Roadblocks

Once recovery is known to us we are the only ones that gets in the way of us getting it from now on. The whole process of recovery is to get us out of the way. This can be very tricky for us because we all have loved that feeling that we were in control. That now becomes a roadblock for us in getting recovery. Knowing this does very little in keeping it from blocking us. What does help is the steps we take in recovery. They have been designed in a way to subtly remove the roadblocks that are keeping us from all that the program of recovery has to offer. If we can just remember that we'll be getting out of our own way by working the steps we'll be okay from now on.
