How Quickly We Forget
HOW QUICKLY WE FORGET
There are times in our lives where we struggle. It may be due to health issues. It may be in a relationship. It may be finances. However, we all have struggles at some point in our lives. And get through them. And once we get through them the important thing to remember is what we learned and how we can better ourselves and help others. If we don’t focus on what we learned, we may find ourselves back in the same rut with the same problems again because we are focused on treasuring the things of the world. God wants us to turn from the world and sin, and turn to Him. Romans 2:4 “Don’t you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? Does this mean nothing to you? Can’t you see that his kindness is intended to turn you from your sin?” (NLT) Dear Lord, we know You want us to turn from sin. We know You want us to stop focusing on the treasures of the world. Help us today, Lord. Give us direction, hope and help to turn from where we focus on the treasures of the world and turn to You. We know many of our problems stem from making wrong decisions about what we want. Help us to turn to You today to give us what we need. In Jesus’ name. Amen. How quickly we forget the problems we had due to our own selfishness and stubbornness. Let’s choose to give and love instead. When we continue to focus on what we want, we will continue to be caught up in the treasures of the world. If we don’t stay close to God in all areas of our lives, we will find ourselves pulled into the things of world by Satan. God’s love and plan is for us to turn from sin and the treasures of the world. He has so much better things in store for us. We are to live in this world with wisdom and not depend on the pleasures of the world. Titus 2:12-13 “And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God, while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed.” (NLT Focus: The things we do in sin will lead us down a path away from God. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_pu...d=FRANCESLUCAS
