Default The God Habit

Joyce Meyer Ministries

The God Habit

When it comes to your everyday habits, it’s important to ask yourself, Am I putting God first? The truth is that nothing can really take the place of having a healthy relationship with Christ, and our relationship with Him really is what matters most.

I’ve found that making God a priority by spending time with Him through prayer and in His Word is vital if I want to have a great life and fulfill my purpose. Today, I can truly say that I am dependent on spending time with God—He has become a necessity that I require every day! Maybe you are at a point in your life where you are ready to form the God habit. If so, I want to encourage you to take a moment right now and ask Him to help you get started.

This Week's Scripture: But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33 NIV

Tip from Joyce: “One of the best habits you can ever develop is to spend time with God. Pray, read His Word, study His Word, and listen for His voice.” – Joyce Meyer

Study Suggestion: Make a commitment this week create the God habit by taking some time to talk to God in prayer and read His Word—even if it’s just five or ten minutes—start small. Put it in your calendar and treat it like an appointment. God will meet you there.
