Default Stay The Course

STAY THE COURSE

It’s a continuous thing. Doing God’s will. We just don’t do it for a little while and quit. It’s not a once a week thing we do to check off our list. It’s all day – every day. It’s every week – all week. It’s every month – all month. God’s plans for us don’t end when we are done volunteering for a project. His plans don’t end when we get married, have children or retire. Our entire life is meant to be spent honoring God and doing His will. And those who seek Him with all their hearts, stay the course and follow Him, will be blessed.

Psalm 119:1-2 “You’re blessed when you stay on course, walking steadily on the road revealed by GOD. You’re blessed when you follow his directions, doing your best to find him.” (MSG)

Dear Lord, help us to stay the course with You every day. When we wake up in the morning, let us come to You for direction. When we go through the day, let us focus on what Your will is for us to do. When we go to bed at night, let us remember the good and learn from the bad. We know doing Your will is a process, not an event. Help us to stay on course with You and not give in to the things of the world. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

When we stay on course with God, we put aside the things of the world.

When we stay on course with God, we stop giving in to our selfish desires.

When we stay on course with God, we walk steadily with Him according to His will.

When we stay on course with God, we do our best to seek Him in all we do.

When we stay on course with God, we strive to make our actions consistently obedient to His law.

Psalm 119:4-5 “You have charged us to keep your commandments carefully. Oh, that my actions would consistently reflect your decrees! (NLT)

Focus: Staying on course for God is possible when we put Him first in all we do. Everything.

Circumstances are not problems. They do not become problems until your mind attaches useless and damaging emotion to them.
