Overnight
Recovery is not an overnight process it takes time, for some of us it takes a lot of time, but that's okay because time is all we got. Getting separated from what we have become addicted to is where it all begins, and that takes time to do that. Next we'll need to work on our thinking. This is key because when we have straightened out our thinking that's what prevents us from returning to active addiction once again. We may have to spend our whole lifetime doing this, but that's okay as well. Because what we get is to be free from that which was trying to destroy us, and we knew it, and had no way of stopping it. Each of us will need to be good to ourselves today and take the time we need to get well. We didn't get sick overnight nor do we get well that way.
