He Prunes
HE PRUNES
"In that day we will sing of the pleasant vineyard. I, the Lord, will watch over it and tend its fruitful vines. Each day I will water them; day and night I will watch to keep enemies away." Isaiah 27:2-3 We are His vineyard. He planted the seed of salvation in each one of us and it is time for that seed to blossom in such a way that it will draw people to Him. He is watching over us and He is hungry to make us fruitful vines. What fruit are you growing? Unfortunately, I have had to get rid of a bunch of the fruit my vine grew. I looked around one day and there was a bunch of stinking fruit coming out of me. There was discord, jealousy, and well, who wants to talk about those things right? So, He has pruned me. Sometime back I shared the story of Pastor Bob Shattles, the man with the gold. He is bearing the fruit of God's glory. He has not allowed the storms of his life to wither him like a prune. (Well, that led to a thought, but we won't go there!) Instead, like Job 23:10 (KJV) declares, "But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold." Well, Pastor Shattles is walking in that promise. What happens when God prunes you? Do you scream and squeal or do you stand compliantly by and let it happen, knowing it is for your good? God prefers us to yield to whatever He is doing in our lives. Remember it is His vineyard! Again and again God brings me back to the trust issue; am I really trusting Him to make me into the woman, the vessel, that He wants me to be, or do I constantly beg Him to make me into the vessel I want to be? If it is the later, I will live a life of frustration. I have done that! I am ready to press in and press on. People; don't think that I have yet attained the fruit that God is creating in me. I have not arrived. I am on my way to becoming all that He wants me to be. I make mistakes. I fall down, but praise God, the Keeper of the vineyard helps me start all over again! Let us sing songs of praise to our God! Let us lift high the name of Jesus. Let us walk in the power of the Holy Spirit, and let us march into battle and take back all that the enemy stole from us! I'm ready, are you? Let us march together and bear the fruit of His love. Lord, I praise You that no matter what battle we come against, the battle belongs to You. All you ask for are willing soldiers and I want to be one. Let the vineyard songs of praise minister to You today Lord! Let our hearts unite as one as we sing Glory to God in the Highest! You alone deserve our praise. You alone deserve our worship! You alone hold the keys to victory in our lives! Release Your anointing Lord. We seek Your face, we long for Your embrace, hold us, mold us, and make us completely Yours! Hope you were encouraged. The Well
