Default Different light

Different light by Bruce Wadd

I'd spent the last four days painting the ceiling and walls of our main living area. At different times of the day you’d see different perspectives on the quality of the work, because of the changing light conditions.

My work looked great when sunlight wasn’t shining into the room, but with the low sun of the new day streaks and gaps showed up all over the place.

I went from thinking I was a professional painter to a first-time amateur in one morning. How depressing!

Have you ever felt things were going OK till God’s truth showed up, exposing terrible faults, gaping holes in your good character?

I just wanted to question the source of light exposing your inadequacies, because the devil too wants to highlight how inept you can be, but for totally different reasons.

Satan wants to destroy. God aims to lift you up and bring you into a closer relationship with Him through exposing the truth.

“The thief’s purpose is to steal, kill and destroy. My purpose is to give life in all its fullness.” John 10:10

Which voice is speaking? What are you listening to?

We have a disease of perception. We need to turn the light on and look at things from a different point of view. Look at my options, look at the whole picture, take our inventory to see how we got to this place, take things out of the darkness and turn on the light of reality.

Things aren`t always as we perceive them to be.
