This is Me!!!
Hi everyone. I'm a newbie to sobriety 11_9_15. This seems to bother some people who've been sober longer and they doubt me. This makes me more determined. I think alcohol is poisoning our societies and families physically. I'm not religious but I'm spiritual. I've joined some online meetings only to be turned away for not being Christian enough. I'm strong but please realize some people who need sobriety are not as strong and are insulted by being openly denied inclusion in AA. This I've seen actually shuns them. Let's see the steps in all lights please.

Hi Fushi
Welcome to the board Let others have their judgments that is on them and the saying is "What others think of me is none of my business" ...but you hang onto that determination I admit to having been a very stubborn person and in some ways still am but in other ways that stubbornness has been changed to passionate determination. Use that determination and keep it in your spiritual tool box. I hope you come back often |

AA is a spiritual program which opens the door for people of all religious beliefs. That is how it works, although I have seen people walk out the room because they here the word God. I always say, "My God!" My God that is personal to me. It says, "The God of our understanding, it doesn't matter if yours is different than anyone else's. Spirituality and Religion are NOT the same thing. In today, my spiritual beliefs enhance my revised religious beliefs and my religious beliefs enhance my spirituality. You are welcome here.
