“ ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord
Almighty.” Zechariah 4:6

Have you considered God’s irony in using us for His purpose? He chooses the weak and the poor to show forth His strength and power. We gain victory through no effort of our own. It is not through our strength or our power. Victory can only be ours through the Spirit of God and its work in our lives. For it is God’s power and God’s strength that works through our worthless bodies to bring victory, so that all the glory and honor would rise to the Lord God Almighty. It is humbling to think that God has chosen us to fulfill His purpose. He wishes to be seen in us. He desires to do mighty works through us. I am glad that God has smiled on me and chooses to use irony to show forth His glory. There is no question that what He has made me today is not what anyone would have expected had they viewed me as a child. God is doing the work through His wisdom, and through His might and power. I have done nothing but submit myself to Him. Victory will continue to be mine as God works through me!

Father, thank You for providing me with Your Holy Spirit. I know that of myself I could do nothing for You. I am so grateful for Your strength and power that works through this feeble body. As I continue to grow and gain victory, may all the glory rise to You, for You are doing the work, not me. Amen. Quiet Waters
