Many of us think when we're new to recovery what do I get out of this if I am willing to do all the work that recovery suggests that I do. Recovery's greatest paradox is that none of us get out of it what we think we would, and what we get is far better than any of us could have ever imagined. This is the magnificent reality of being in recovery, if we do what's suggested we'll get that and that's guaranteed. This is what they discovered for themselves those who started this program, that by taking these actions in a certain way, it just happens much to their own amazement because this is not what they had set out trying to do. And because they were so moved by what had happened to them that they recorded exactly what they had done so that anyone at all can follow doing the same thing. If we're in recovery and we're not enjoying life we're not doing it right. That is what it is all about and we knew before recovery we were missing out on that, so there's no need in repeating that now that we are in recovery. When all else fails we can start the process over again by going back to the beginning and then keep going until we've reached the end, and then start it over over again and we never stop this, and we'll get really good at it, that too is guaranteed.
