Default The “personal-ness” of Christ’s love

(B)ut God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 5:8
Years ago, Michael Jordan, arguably the greatest basketball player to ever play the game, retired from basketball. And when he was asked why he was retiring (he was still very talented), he cited the pressure, the publicity, and the demands upon his time. He said, “I just want to go out of my house without the pressures of all these people.”

When Jesus lived on earth, He was inundated with all kinds of demands on His time and energy. I can imagine Him being dog-tired from talking and interacting with people all day. Yet, as the Scripture teaches us, He was “moved with compassion” when He saw the crowds (Matthew 9:36). Why? Because Jesus cares about people.

Though you may feel like one in a crowd of people, the truth is that Jesus sees you as an individual. He’ll always remember your name and will never forget you as you face challenges in your life. He loves you deeply and surely, and knows you better than you know yourself.

One by one, Jesus ministers to us in a very special way. And if you’d been the only person in the world, He would have come and died for your sins. And because of that, you can be sure He’ll never let you go if you’re in Him. Thank God today for the gift of Jesus Christ!

PRAISE GOD THAT HE SENT JESUS TO LOVE YOU PERSONALLY AND BE THE SAVIOR WHO DIED SO THAT YOU MAY LIVE.

Jack Graham

We stay sober and clean together - one day at a time!
God says that each of us is worth loving.
