Humility Removes Worry
When we worry, we put the focus on us, not God. When we humble ourselves before God, He can remove our worry and show us ways to help others and share His word. Worrying does nothing but waste time that we should be spending in God’s word, helping others and witnessing to them. So next time we are worried about something in our lives, let’s go humbly to God and let Him handle things so we can focus on doing His will. 1 Peter 5:6-7 “So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” (NLT) Dear Lord, we pray You will remind us daily not to worry. We humbly come before You and give You our days and our nights. We pray before You asking You to take control of what is on our minds so we can better focus on You. Guide us to live the lives You have called us to live. Please take care of the big things and small things in our lives so we can give You all the glory. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen. God doesn’t want us to worry. He wants us to depend on Him in all things. God tells us to give all our worries and cares to Him. What more do we need to know in order to begin doing that? Worrying does nothing but waste time where we could be serving God and helping others. If we are worrying, then we aren’t worshiping God. When we humble ourselves before and trust in Him for all we need, He will remove our worry. Luke 12:31 “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and he will give you everything you need.” (NLT) Focus: Worrying keeps us from worshiping. Worshiping frees us from worrying. It’s our choice. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_pu...d=FRANCESLUCAS
