Regular Feedings
If we only ate once a day, we would soon find ourselves hungry. If we only ate once a day, we would not get the nutrients we need for our bodies. If we only ate once a day, our bodies and minds would suffer. Just as we need regular feedings of food, we need regular feedings of God’s word. Once a day is great but 3-4 times would provide us so much more. If our attitude is not what it should be and we aren’t who God wants us to be, maybe it’s time we get regular feedings of God’s word. 1 Peter 2:2-3 “Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment, now that you have had a taste of the Lord’s kindness.” (NLT) Dear Lord, we come to You because we know we need You. We need Your word. You call us to live for You and study Your word. Sometimes we look at it once during the day. Other days we just get too busy. Help us to schedule time to feed from Your word in the morning, afternoon, early evening and just before we go to bed. We know by spending more time with You and in Your word, we will draw closer to You, get to know You better and grow stronger in being obedient to You. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen. God’s word is meant for reading so we can learn more about Him and those who devoted themselves to Him. When we regularly read God’s word, we will grow stronger in faith. Reading God’s word throughout the day and thinking about His instructions from that word will guide us to better days. We have all the instructions we need in God’s word. We should be devoted to reading it just as He has called us to do. When we devote ourselves to reading God’s word, our faith will grow strong. Romans 10:17 “So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.” (NLT) Focus: If we feel we are missing something in our lives, we can get what we need from God’s word. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_pu...d=FRANCESLUCAS
