An All About Me Life- Or Maybe??
The Lord helps the fallen and lifts those bent beneath their loads. Psalm 145:14 “ An All About Me Life - Or Is It? Do you feel the weight of the world upon your shoulders? Are you stressed out because there is just not enough of you to go around? [I’m sure you can relate! Especially if you are a mom or you suffer from CoDependency like I do. Recently, I had so many things going on and people to help that I just about lost it. Ok, I did! And in dealing with that in counseling, I figured out I was having what this author terms and “All About Me Life”. ] I had encouraged others to depend on and rely on me to the point that it wasn’t healthy for any of us. Nor was it fair. [She goes on to write] how often we needlessly, selfishly carry the burden alone — not allowing those who care for me and love us to shoulder part of our load. How egotistical we must appear; how others must feel that we don’t value them or trust them to help us or resolve issues or fix problems [or in my case provide me respite from my burdens that I carry. I love the Bible verse she picked for today as it truly convicts my attitude and places a new feeling of gratitude in my heart..] The Lord helps the fallen and lifts those bent beneath their loads. Psalm 145:14 [And he does it by using friends and family and coworkers and church family and even complete strangers. I think we just need to pause and recognize that God is fulfilling this promise and raise our eyes and tell him thank you.] ” — An All About Me Life One Year Book of Inspiration
