For all of us before recovery there were many times when we knew there'd be no way we'd be able to participate in many of the normal things of life because we were too busy being caught up in the problem we all have. For most of us we didn't mind this at first, but later on we began to wonder if we'd ever be able to do anything else ever again. Being entrapped by our problem wasn't easy and we started to long for something better. The solution to the problem is found in our longing. As long as we want something better for ourselves we'll then be able to find it in the program of recovery. It's because of the common suffering we all have with this problem that the same solution works for us all. When new to recovery, long before we know all about the problem we still can have it's solution, just by wanting it, and if we continue to want it, we'll always have it.
