What does not kill us always makes us stronger and those in recovery are some of the strongest people we'll ever meet. We've been through it all and we have come out the other side better off because of what we had to go through. None of us like having to go through what we had to so that we could be in recovery, but there doesn't seem to be any other way for us to get here, and if there was we would have found it by now. It hasn't been due to our lack of looking all of us have been trying to find a way out of this problem, it's just that none of us could find one that works. The greatest thing about being in recovery is not only does it solve our problem, it gives us all a better way to live. These two go hand in hand, and for those of us with this problem we needed both of them and we couldn't have one without the other. The weirdest thing about all of us being in recovery is that none of us thought we would like being here. Not only did we begin to like being in recovery, we actually begin to learn how to like ourselves after we got here, and it's a good thing that we do, because it's less likely for any of us to let this problem that we all have kill us, when we like ourselves.
