Default Something Better

We all wanted something better for ourselves but none of us knew what that was or how to go about getting that for ourselves, and for most of us we didn't even know that it was because of how we had to live with having this problem of ours that's keeping all of us from ever being able to find this. As long as all of us have to cater to the whims of our problem none of us will ever be able to have anything better for ourselves. That is how this problem works for all of us. It keeps us from having the better things in life and we all knew that it was doing that, and even worse than knowing this was knowing there wasn't anything we could do that would change this we tried everything we could think of and nothing worked. Recovery unravels all of this by telling us that it's our own self will run riot that blocks all of us from having something better for ourselves. Most of us aren't convinced of this at first, but as we go along in our recovery we start to see that it does have something to do with this. The very thing that most of us had prided ourselves in, is what was keeping all of us from what we all wanted for ourselves, something better, and none of us could see this. It's not easy for any of us to get rid of our own self will and we don't have to, instead we all can do what suggested and that's to bring ourselves into alignment with the better things in life, by practicing the principles of recovery, and when all of us do this is when we all start to get something better for ourselves.
