Our whole existence and how we see this world we all live in for all of us is based on how we all perceive ourselves, and unfortunately the vision that most of us held before any of us got to recovery was not a very pretty one. Our vision about who we are for all of us has been greatly distorted for all of us who are in recovery and it takes some time for all of us to get this straightened out. The process of recovery was designed with this in mind to give all of us a new perspective on ourselves and the world we live in. This starts to happen for all of us and is founded in the founding principle of recovery which is honesty, but it doesn't end there for any of us, and as we all progress all of us will find that we can always become more honest through the practice of recovery in our lives. Then all of us will be able to see ourselves differently then from what any of us were capable of seeing before, and it begins when we all learn how to practice being honest, which is something that none of us were doing before, but now we find out that through being in recovery that all of us are very capable of doing this. Not only will this change all of us but it also changes the world as we know it that we all live in. How very powerful it is to have this done for all of us when we all learn how to be honest and are now able to see ourselves as we are.
