For all of us what we all have never goes away, and we'll all have it for the rest of our lives. There's no escaping this fact for any of us, but we all try to. All of us just wish that it would just go away, but it doesn't, and never does. The best thing that we can hope for from now is that somehow we can learn some how to live with what we have. What we're doing before any of us show up at recovery wasn't working, and we'll all realized this. But even so, after being in recovery for a while some of us will still hope that one day it will work. Many of us will die because of hoping for this, and thinking that now that we know all about what we have, that things will be different now, and we'll return to what wasn't working. This never turns out well for any of us when we have done this. The only thing that we should all be hoping for is that somehow we can figure out how we can do what recovery teaches us so we can learn to live with what never goes away. It's out there waiting for all of us to return to, what wasn't working before, and we'll all find this out if we don't continue to do something about learning how to live with what we all have that will always be there with all of us.
