Hi my name is Alex. I'm a new member. I have 9months sober. Grateful to be apart of this fellowship. I was recommended by a friend. So far I love this site. Getting sober was very hard, but it was very simple. Don't drink/drug, ask for help, go to meetings, get a sponsor, join a group, and / get active.

I'm new to this type of internet exchange of information. I'm very leery of this because the format takes some real knocks. I read about "trolling" and other forms of invasion, and that is scary.
I've been sober a while and the *** I was using became full of contention for which I might have been partly responsible, b/c I didn't realize there is a segment of "sober" folk who get off on creating havoc, dissent and obfuscation.
Thank you for having the doors open here.
maybe I could actually get comfortable. we'll see.

I have found it is easier to stay clean & sober than it is to get clean and sober.. Nothing in life is worth loosing my clean and sober time for...For me---just for me...Anything and everything in life that one can think of that would "cause" a person to drink or use are nothing more than excuses. Today I do not use excuses..I reach for the solution and for my spiritual tool box

I hope that all of you come back often and share your jouney with us
