Default It Didn’t Stop There

It Didn’t Stop There

by Vonette Bright

“The LORD has heard my cry for mercy; the LORD accepts my prayer” (Psalm 6:9 ).

Steven’s mother lost everything: her businesses, expensive cars, most of her material wealth. But this mom gained a new friend in her life… Jesus Christ.

Steven is a Christian songwriter and singer known as Lyrycyst. He said, “It’s just overwhelming that everything Satan took away, God gave back ten times!” His parents had come to Christ at Steven’s baptism.

But the parent’s biggest challenge was Steven’s brother. He was a devout Satanist. His mom began to pray daily. Several years went by. Then one morning at 3am, her son came home shouting, “God is real!” That night he had prayed to receive Christ. That was the greatest night of his mom’s life!

Oh dear one, nothing is impossible with God. He can change your family too. Don’t give up hope. Keep on praying!

There is not enough hours in a day, sorry I am not able to respond to these daily . Prior to recovery, I used to make time go away. Today there are not enough hours in a day.

Liked the title, things don`t end when you put the cork in the bottle. Life is so much more when you learn to live the spiritual principles and follow the steps to recovery.

Addiction is a family disease, it isn`t just about the alcoholic and addict, the disease affects all those who are around it. It is especially hard on the caretaker and the Ms. Fix-It and they become focused on others instead of look at themselves and deal with their own needs.

My sponsor said it is alright to be a caretaker as long as you remember to take care of yourself first.
