He Forgives
There is at least one person in our lives who did something to us that is hard to forget. What they did is actually so bad we can’t forget nor can we forgive. However, if we think about it, we have been forgiven many times. Forgiveness is where healing begins. Where would we be without forgiveness? There would be a lot of missed conversations. There would be a lot of hurt feelings. There would be a lot of lost relationships. Forgiveness is possible. Letting things go so we can move on is helpful to everyone. God understands forgiveness and the power behind it. Because God understands us, He forgives us. God forgives and so should we. Matthew 6:15 “But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.” (NLT) Dear Lord, thank You for forgiving us, many times. We have done so much wrong yet You continue to forgive and love us. We have forgotten You so many times but You remain with us. Help us to forgive as You have forgiven. Help us to stop holding grudges and let go. Help us to heal and let the healing start with forgiveness. Show us today who we need to forgive so we can move on and live for You. Thank You for understanding the power of forgiveness and allowing that to be a part of our options and opportunities in life. In Jesus’ name. Amen. When we forgive, we can begin to live. Forgiveness is where healing begins. There are going to be people who need our forgiveness just as there are going to be people who will need to forgive us. We are not perfect by any means. That is why God created and understands the power of forgiveness. To be forgiven, we must first forgive. Mark 11:25 “But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too.” (NLT) Focus: Thank God that He understands forgiveness and the power of freedom behind it. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_pu...d=FRANCESLUCAS

As I posted earlier, forgiving others and ourselves. If God forgives me, why should I not forgive myself. As I have posted, I was seeing a counsellor at 6 years sober and she asked me why I had not forgiven myself? I looked at her and said, I did not think to ask. I did not feel worthy.
I had to make an amend to my God. I went to communion, the first time in many years because I had so much guilt about still smoking, that I felt it was wrong to go to church, because it was a big lie. The old tapes got in the way of living a new spiritual life.
