I love the visual illustration this verse creates in my mind as I picture the Lord waving an open hand, and in that simple gesture, he satisfies the desires of every living thing on the earth. If God is capable of such widespread gratification, surely he can meet our comparatively small needs.

Let these words build up your faith today. Although the Lord may not always fulfill our desires in the ways we had planned, we can be sure that the supply he brings will be utterly complete and better than anything we had expected.
