Why God?
Today's Bible Verse: Psalm 42:11 Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again—my Savior and my God! (NLT) Today's Inspiring Thought: Why God? All throughout the Psalms we see believers who weren't afraid to express their doubts and questions to God. In Psalm 42, the writer is discouraged and sad. He feels abandoned by the Lord. Even still, he takes his questions and doubts and brings them to the Lord. "Why God?" he begins. And then he and God have an honest, heart-felt conversation. It's significant to note that each question leads the psalmist back to God. He is reminded that God has the answer to every question. Even though he is disheartened, he puts his hope and trust in God, and praises him again and again. He knows that God is the only one who will rescue him.

Why not God? We have tried our way for many years, and for the most part things didn't work out to good. As the saying goes, God is good. Good is God. Why not look to Him in the good times as well as the not so good times?
