Gratitude

I have had a very interesting week. A DVD was mailed to me with Contentment as the title but it talked about Complaining. I never realized that complaining is signing your own death warrant with God. He divorces himself from us because when we complain it is not about others or circumstances it is directed towards God who made us and sustains us. I had to really digest that one.
And then i realize if i can take all the pain and sorrow i have gone through and offer it up and let it count for my changing and having peace on the inside then i have learned how not to complain, how to become content.
Often i have tried to move from where i now live for seven long years. And every time i did something came up to cancel that move out. Well today my old neighbor who moved from here to where i wanted to move told me it is worse than here and he wants to move back here! Now that was a God moment for me. How often i tell him what i want and think i want. But He knows what is best for me. I am glad He does not always give me what i pray for cause often it is not good.
Having surrendered the idea of moving and accepting where i am and being content i have found much stress is gone and i have learned the secret of being.

Being appreciative and contented can bring joy and peace.

God never forsakes us, complaining or not. Complaining is about me and my acting out in my disease. It is me that goes away, not God. His love is everlasting.
