Default Subtle Foe

It's not until complete defeat that we start to see our real enemy as it is. Some will never get the chance to do this, others can't or won't. We all have early signs that it's taking over and beginning to have it's way with us. One of these is we think we need it, this happens to all of us. Of course this could never be true, we don't need it, but somehow we start to claim that we do, because there's this false hope that it can do something for us we can't or don't want to do for ourselves. Of course this also could never be true, yet we are lured into thinking this way very easily. It's when we awake to these facts is when all hell breaks loose. We can go on long after this, trying to make it do what it can't, but it will never be able to do for us what we should have been doing all along for ourselves, and we knew that. This bluffing of one's self is what makes this a very subtle foe
