Default Alone

The way all of us come into and leave this world is alone, and the same is true for all of us as we begin recovery. Breaking ties with life as we know it is never easy for any of us, but is necessary for all of us who want to make it in recovery, and until we've all become willing to do this, chances are we're probably not going to make it in recovery. When we've all done this, let go of life as we know it, we all can sense the loss of doing this, but what all of us don't know is that what's going to replace what we've all lost, is far better than anything than any of us could have ever imagined for ourselves. It's so good for us now that we're in recovery that many of us wonder why we even had such a hard time in letting go of everything when we started. There's two reasons for this, even though we all were suffering we had all become used to that, and we were all afraid of being alone. As long as we all stay in recovery none of us will ever have to be alone again.
