Default The Same But Different

There are so many different kinds of people in this world therefore the same thing is true and can be said about recovery as well, and it's a good thing that we're all not the same, how boring it would be if this was true. The problem that we'll encounter because of all these differences we all have when we're new is trying to identify which is a major part of us all being able to have some sense of belonging in recovery. These differences can make doing this extremely difficult, but the one thing we all do have in common is that none of us are here by mistake even though most of us think that we are when we get here. This is no mistake, something wants all of us here, but it's not us. What this problem has done to all of us is the same thing just in different ways because of us all being different people. What recovery can do for all of us is another thing we'll have in common if we can learn how to look past all of our differences to see that it's the same problem that has the same solution for all of us. Here's what's even more difficult to understand is because we're all different we don't have to all do recovery exactly the same way that all that's required of any of us to recover is for us to learn how to adapt these principles of recovery into our life as best as we can all learn how to in each of our own unique lives and then be willing to show others who will be different from who we are how they can do the same thing in their own life. This is the beauty of recovery: it's ability to transcend all of our differences so that no matter who any of us are, we all have a chance to recover if we want to.
