Y is for Yield. Yield not to temptation. Yield to the program, it may be one of suggestions, but there are some darn well betters, or you will go back out and drink. It is suggested that you go to meetings, find a group, get a sponsor, and work the steps. If you don't apply the information you find there, there is a good chance you will relapse, if you don't change your ways. What brought you to the rooms of recovery, will take you back out.

I had a fear of relapse, because it meant for me to use is to die. Substitution didn't work for me, I tried for 8 years, and only got sicker. When I came to the doors of recovery, I found people who were able to do what I couldn't do. Stay clean and sober. I could stop, but couldn't stay stopped until I yielded to the fact that I was an alcoholic, and accepted the fact, and take Steps to allow myself to change. It wasn't about everyone else, it was about me.
