Z is for ZZZZZ. I didn't find to much sleep over the years. A friend of mine who I went through recovery with said she had been told, "Lack of sleep never killed anyone." Not too sure about, it can make them very sick and depressed. I was told to empty my head of all thought, which wasn't easy. I was told to put them in a brown paper bag, tie them us and say, "You are just thoughts" and it was my choice as to whether I opened the bag in the morning. I didn't have a very good visual, I think it was because I thought if I could envision something, I would see my brother being killed, when I was 3 and he was 2. Someone once said, "Envision a window in your arm, open it and let everything go." I wasn't able to do that.

When I had using dreams in recovery, it was generally a sign that I need to get back to basics. It wasn't so much about what I had done, but what I hadn't done, like talking to my sponsor, going to meetings, and leaving things out of my Step Ten.
