Default Train Ourselves To Care

TRAIN OURSELVES TO CARE

There are many people in the world who care. The trouble is they care only about themselves. They begin the day thinking about what they want. They go through the day focusing on their needs. They end the day determining if it was a good day based on what they achieved for themselves. However, we are called to put ourselves last and to care for others. If we don’t know how, it’s time we began to train ourselves to care and God can help. Want to truly care about others? Pray for them. We will begin to care more and remember their needs and show them we really care.

SCRIPTURE:
Romans 12:13 “When God’s people are in need, be ready to help them. Always be eager to practice hospitality.” (NLT)

ACTION STEPS:
1. Write down people you may encounter today.
2. List some questions you can ask to show you care.
3. Pray for them and ask God to show you how to help them.
4. Make it a daily practice to meet people and show them you care.

PRAYER:
Dear Lord, help us today to show more care and love to others. Help us to talk with them and ask them about their lives, their needs and their issues. We want to be caring and loving as You call us to be. We want to begin showing concern for others and looking for ways to help them. Help us begin practicing today so we can begin to train ourselves to care and make a difference. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

REMEMBER:
If we want to better remember others, we need to find out their needs and pray for them.

If we want to show others we care, we should stop talking about us and focus on them and their needs.

Showing others we care can be as easy as listening to them rather than doing all the talking.

Want to truly care about others? Pray for them. We will begin to care more and remember their needs and show them we really care.

We are to take interest in others showing them we care and that we love them as God loves them.

FOCUS: Philippians 2:4 “Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.” (NLT)

When we practice looking out for the interests of others, we are training ourselves to care.
