Default Humble Thoughts

HUMBLE THOUGHTS

Our actions and words come from our thoughts. If we are constantly thinking negative, we will look negative and sound negative. If we are filling our minds with God’s word on a consistent basis, we will soon be showing love and reaching out to help others. When we have humble thoughts, we will begin to speak and act more humble. And to have humble thoughts, we need to draw close to God.

James 4:8 “Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, we come close to You and humble ourselves before You. We know when we draw close to You, You will draw close to us. We feel Your presence. We feel Your peace. We are so grateful for Your love. Take our day, today, Lord and let it be pleasing to You as we fill our minds with Your word. Change our lives and thoughts today so we may consistently live for You and lead others to do the same. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

When we fill our minds with good things, we will begin to enjoy life.

When we fill our minds with God’s word, we will want to obey Him.

Once we begin obeying God, we will see a change in our lives.

When we consistently obey God, our minds will change and we will want to focus only on Him.

What we think about is who we become.

Colossians 3:2 “Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.” (NLT)

Focus: Decide what you will put in your mind today so you can better serve God.

We stay sober and clean together - one day at a time!
