Default Strong Yet Gentle

STRONG YET GENTLE

There are commercials about toilet paper that is strong, yet gentle. It is strong enough to do the job, yet gentle enough not to hurt us. There are other products as well that we use that will get what needs to be done without harming our floors, walls, etc. If it is possible for man to create products we use every day to be strong, yet gentle, then think how much more possible it is for our God to be strong, yet gentle, when He works through us every day. What man makes can harm us if we use them in the wrong way; however, God doesn’t. He is able to make things right when we do wrong if we will only go to Him.

1 Kings 19:12 “And after the earthquake there was a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire there was the sound of a gentle whisper.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, help us today to feel Your presence. Help us to feel Your strength and Your gentleness. Help us to hear Your loud and whispering voices. Help us to see Your greatness in the big things and in the small things. We know You are strong, yet gentle. We know You are ready and willing to help us with both Your strength and Your gentleness. Guide us today with both as we know You have our best interest in mind. Help us to follow Your will today. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Our God is strong. Our God is gentle. Our God is all we need.

When we focus on God and His strength, He will get us through all things.

When we focus on God and His gentleness, we will feel His compassion and love.

God wants us to know that He is both strong and gentle because He wants to help us in all things.

We can best feel God’s strength and His gentleness when we are tuned into His word.

We need to look at God’s world and see the strong and the gentle creations He has blessed us with.

Genesis 1:24 “Then God said, ‘Let the earth produce every sort of animal, each producing offspring of the same kind—livestock, small animals that scurry along the ground, and wild animals.’ And that is what happened.” (NLT)

We stay sober and clean together - one day at a time!
