A Life Worth Living
None of us are living our life when we get to recovery, we're all just merely existing and not even doing a very good job at that. What we all need is a life that's worth living and we all can have that for ourselves, once we decide we're going to do what recovery suggests that we do we'll get it. This is not easy for any of us to do because we all want to hold onto the things that are making our life not worth living now, and the longer we're all willing hold onto these things the harder life will become for all of us and the more painful it will be to do so. As long as we all continue to allow ourselves to be consumed with self, and always having to have things turn out our way, and then trying to make sure that they do, none us will ever have any room in our life for anything else that's better than this. And even though we all think that this is what life is all about it's not, and we can see the proof of that all around us but still we all are determined to make this work, but it never does. This is the reason we all end up here in recovery so we can all try to find something better than this for ourselves. That life, the one that's worth living that we all want is waiting for all of us and all we have to do to get it is to let go of what we all already know doesn't work, and then we'll all have it. Simple yes, easy no, but it can be done, and if we're willing to try we're all more then half way there to being able to get a life that's worth living for ourselves.
