This is applicable to all fellowships. Sometimes as members of Al-Anon, Nar-Anon, Adult Children of Alcoholics, don't see ourselves as addicts.

Addiction is a family disease and it seem to be contagious. I firmly believe we are products of our environment. I was raise in the country, on a two hundred acre farm, isolated from society and I didn't have any social and communication skills. This is a disease of perception, and though I could change people, I focused on others instead of myself and lived my life through other people.

We are powerless over people, places, and things.
