Default What We're All Drawn To

Recovery is not the usual success story that we've all become accustomed to of living happily ever after. On the contrary, what we're all drawn to seems to be just opposite to this. It's not that there's not any real success in being in recovery there is, this is more about where we've been more than where we're all headed that's attractive to us even when we don't want it to be we'll still be drawn to this. And this is true for all of us. Recovery is a transformation process that takes failure and turns it into success and the key ingredient of doing that is hardship. Not one of us ends up here on a winning streak nor is this the kind of thing that we all like to hear about when we first arrive in recovery. The main thing we all can identify with is how hard life has been up to now that we even become willing enough to give something like recovery a try as a way of making things better for ourselves. If we come around here long enough we will hear all of the different ways that recovery has been successful in doing just that for those of us who have used this process and what has happened to those who have not.
