Default Silent Gratitude

SILENT GRATITUDE

If we wake up early enough every morning, we can find some quiet time before the day begins. Starting our day in silence and with gratitude will help us better focus our day on God. It will help us better prioritize things according to His will rather than just putting out fires all day long or doing nothing at all. Spending time with God early in the morning with gratitude for all He is and all we have to do during the day help us remember to include God in our day. And when we include God, we will be reminded to obey Him, help others and share His love in all we do.

Colossians 2:7 “Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, we want to thank You for this moment right now. This time we have to focus on You. This time we have to read Your word and to listen to You. We thank You for opportunities during the day where we can share Your word. We thank You for opportunities in the morning where we can be still and listen to You. You do so much for us and we want to stop and be still knowing You are truly all we need. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Showing gratitude to God in our quiet time each morning will help us get our day going right.

God wants us to know He is with us all the time. We need to take time to stop and remember this during our busy days.

God can help us have meaningful days where we are doing His will but we have to first spend time with Him to know what He wants us to do.

We can be thankful for all things in our lives because God has a plan in all we do.

Whatever is going on in our lives today, we can stop and be silent showing our gratitude to God.

1 Timothy 5:18 “Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” (NLT)

Focus: Make a practice to be still during the day by setting a reminder to be grateful in all you do.
