We all have expectations of what we might find as we start out in our recovery. As we go along we may find those expectations we once held have nothing to do with recovery. Wonderfully recovery is so much more than any of those expectations. It's all that we'll ever need and more than we would have ever asked for. It's where we first learned about living in the now. There's a great emphasis put on this as we begin this is how we learned to stop, for just this moment. Then as we go along we learn there's more to it than just that. We discovered all the power we'll ever need is found there as well. Over time we actually become comfortable living there in the now and enjoy the benefits that come from doing that. Some will spend their entire life not being able to know how to do this, to live in the now. And few of us had ever expected to find this from our recovery.
