Default Hard Times Come

HARD TIMES COME

When we are having hard times, we can have still an influence on others. When we have difficulties in finances, others will know if we respond with worry or prayer. When we have relationship issues, people will see if we lash out in hate or if we show love. When we have health problems, we can have an influence on others by getting into God's word and giving Him the glory. When we focus on God's word when trouble and distress enters our lives, we can know what to do and others will see how we respond to hard times.

Romans 8:12 "Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do." (NLT)

Dear Lord, help us when hard time comes. We don't want to give in and do what our sinful nature urges us to do. We want to do what You call us to do. We want to respond in prayer. We want to show love to those who do wrong to us. We want to get into Your word to help us have peace about health issues. We want to do what is right despite the hard times we are going through. We want to be a positive influence on others. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Rather than showing hate, jealousy or envy in relationship issues, show love.

Rather than showing worry in health problems, influence others by getting into God's word and giving Him the glory.

Rather than showing stress in financial issues, go to God in prayer.

Rather than showing fatigue and disappointment in our jobs, go to God for strength and endurance.

Psalm 119:143 "Trouble and distress have come upon me, but your commands give me delight." (NIV)

Psalm 119:143 "As pressure and stress bear down on me, I find joy in your commands."(NLT)

Focus: God's word can give us a new look and a new attitude on all our troubles and pressures in life.

We stay sober and clean together - one day at a time!
