Default Happy Sober Day To All!!!

Hello fellow trudgers...

I love AA and all 12 step processes... I came into recovery with a severe mood disorder with many flawed beliefs and coping methods and they were challenged and reformed through the halls of 12 step recovery. I no longer suffer with a major mood disorder and I have AA and other 12 step fellowships to thank for it. My problems started in childhood and came to fruition in my thirties. I have been in the halls since 1994 and sober since 2000. I had outside help in the form of Psychiatry and Counseling in the process. I am active in the AA fellowship and enjoy taking the message of hope and recovery into facilities which include jails, rehabs and hospitals. One of the most enlightening pieces of information I have learned from in my trudging is "BIll W." dvd put out a few years ago and available through www.page124.com . There is much information in that dvd that is not in any of the printed material and it is Bill W's story told in documentary form. I could never identify solely by Bill's story as he told it in the "Big Book" but once I watched the dvd I could identify with ALL of it... Another pivotal author for me was Brennan Manning who wrote the book "The Ragamuffin Gospel" which Brennan identifies himself as a member of our fellowship. Thank you to the author of this site. I enjoy the ease and availability of being able to read through a couple of single clicks with the mouse our daily readings.
