My mom's favourite hymn. She had a severe heart attack 28 days before her 41st birthday. The doctor told her to lose weight, but she did. She didn't know about Al-Anon and she used food to deal with her feelings. She was also a great cook and she loved her own food. She would bake a 2 layer chocolate cake for dinner and the five of us (2 adults and three children) would eat it.

Many times we would have Young People's from our church at our place because my dad (the alcoholic) wouldn't take us. She would think nothing of making up from scratch butterscotch or Chelsea buns for everyone.

She didn't know about food addictions, I don't think my dad knew about AA, and I think I heard the word twice, but didn't know what people were talking about.
