True Happiness Found At Last
True Happiness Found At Last
Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David! Mark 11:9-10 What is true happiness? How do we get it? On TV, we hear that we will be happy if we get the latest TV or electronic device. On the radio we hear that true happiness in music is often defined by sleeping with every girl to fulfill our needs. At work, true happiness is obtained by getting that big raise no matter how we went about getting it. Is this true happiness? Right now during this season we hear all the time that if we get this one present for our loved ones that we will truly make them happy. Really, that's what Christmas is really about? "We all search for happiness on our own terms and because of this, we run the risk of missing Christ's blessings. Man's happiness often depends on chance or luck: a sudden change in our condition. It is something that life offers and then just as suddenly, rips away." - Grace For Each Moment Yes, when we get that something special we are happy for a moment, but let's not be fooled. That type of happiness doesn't last. But the happiness that comes from following Christ is a different type of happiness - it's a joy we have in Him. I want that type of joy all year long and so I won't go looking for it in presents, or Christmas songs, or parties..I will only go looking for it in the promise that the birth of Jesus Christ brings.
