Proverb A Day – Day 28 by SGLY Ministry

Today’s Proverb: He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy. Proverbs 28:13 [NKJV]

Today’s Thought:
“Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the LORD, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool. Isaiah 1:18 NKJV

Jesus came to cleanse us from all sin because sin separates us from God. Any sin in our lives hinders the Lord’s blessings. If we will confess and repent, the Lord will show us mercy, and He will forgive us and cleanse us. Then, He will be able to bless us and others through us.

For, If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 NKJV

Today’s Action:
Today:
I will not attempt to cover up my sins
I will confess my sins to God and repent of them
I will ask the Lord’s forgiveness
I will ask the Lord to cleanse me and bless me and others through me

Proverbs 13:9 'The light of the righteous shines brightly.'

- You can be a source of light and hope to those around you.
- Your little light can shine brightly.
- No amount of darkness can snuff out the light of a single candle.
- So shine on and bring light into the world around you.

PRAYER: Lord, may my light so shine that others will know that You are my LORD and may I be a source of hope and strength to others. Amen.

Kind Regards
Pastor Andrew Roebert

Too Busy Not to Pray by Joyce Meyer

When we’re overwhelmed with responsibilities that we can’t change yet, what can we do to get everything done and not get frustrated in the process?

Jesus said that if we’re weary and overburdened we should come to Him, because He has the rest we need (see Matthew 11:28). When we’re busy, we often think we don’t have time for prayer or studying God’s Word, but that’s exactly when it’s most important to make the time to do it. I heard one man say that he had more to do than ever, so he was going to pray an extra hour a day. When asked how he could find time to do that with all he had to do, he replied, “That is the only way I will ever get it done. I am too busy not to pray!”

I’ve learned that when I lean on God and take things one day at a time, He’ll help me get through my commitments and help me arrange my life better in the future. The grace we need is always there when we need it. You might look at all you’re facing over the next few weeks and feel overwhelmed, but if you’ll take even a few minutes to pray and invite God into each day, He’ll be there to help you, love you and guide you through every single thing you need to do (see Psalm 145:18; Matthew 7:7; James 1:5).

Prayer Starter: Father, please help me get through all the things on my plate today. I want to do it without frustration, but I can’t do it without You. Thank You for the grace to accomplish what I need to do, and for giving me the wisdom I need as I make decisions! In Jesus’ name, amen.

Psalm 62:8 'O my people, trust in Him at all times. Pour out your heart to Him, for God is our refuge.'

- We are called upon to trust in the Lord at ALL times.
- We should trust Him in every situation and at every stage of life.
- In fact, we should trust Him until our very last breath.
- We can do this because of the fact that HE is our refuge and our strength.

PRAYER: Lord, I place my trust and confidence in You afresh today. It is my determined purpose to live a life of trusting in You, each and every day and until that day when I see You face to face. Amen.

Kind Regards
Pastor Andrew & Vanessa Roebert
